Better Cat Living
When equipment is not working for you
Practical starting checks for cat equipment and where to find model-specific instructions.
Check the model code before searching for instructions or replacement parts. Similar-looking feeders, fountains and posts can use different fittings.
A feeder misses a serving
Read the exact model's clock, battery and tray-alignment instructions. Test a full cycle while you are at home. Do not rely on an app notification alone to confirm the cat has eaten. The wet-food feeder guide explains what to check before regular use.
A fountain needs more cleaning
Find the pump-disassembly diagram and separate the parts as instructed. Do not wash the electrical base as if it were a removable bowl. Our water and fountain section helps you assess cleaning access and replacement compatibility.
Furniture feels unstable
Stop using equipment with damaged or unreliable connections. Check assembly against the instructions and contact the manufacturer about repairs or required restraints. Added rope or a heavier cushion is not a structural repair. Start with cat-tree fit.
A cat's habits change
A new difficulty eating, drinking, jumping or using the tray is a reason to speak to your vet. Equipment checks are useful, but cannot establish the cause of a change.
